Molly Martyn
In 2007 Molly started a Hearing Voices group that became one of the most successful groups at the mental health agency she worked for. In 2008 Molly attended a seminar led by Dr. Mike Smith and Marion Aslan. Mike and Marion had come over from England to discuss the consumer experience and coping skills offered overseas for voice hearers. Molly was asked to speak to the audience regarding what their Hearing Voices group entailed.
After speaking at the seminar Molly began receiving several phone calls from outside the mental health agency that she worked for asking for help. It became apparent that it was time to expand this group to help those in need throughout the Denver metro area.
Molly has extensive knowledge on the subject of voice hearing and has been lucky enough to meet several people in the professional and consumer arena that have been able to help her to start the Hearing Voices Network of Denver.
Molly has a BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls and an MA in Clinical Mental Health from Argosy University - Denver. Molly has a private psychotherapy practice in the Denver metro area. Please see links for more information on her practice.
Please understand that while Molly is extremely compassionate when it comes to voice hearing that she is by law a mandated reporter. This is often disheartening to those who want to join voices groups. Your best interest is at heart and it is YOUR group. Molly is there to help facilitate and listen and allow you to share your experiences. At this time she is holding voices groups and is also working with individuals and famillies at a nationwide level. Please direct all e-mails and questions to Molly regarding the group as well as your voice hearing experience.
